As parents ourselves, we understand the concerns many parents of babies and toddlers have about their child’s development. Books, websites, and social media are great, but they don’t always provide the answers and hands-on knowledge that many parents seek. That’s why we created Baby Basics, a parent support group run by our developmental specialists.
Baby Basics is for any parent, but especially the first-time parent, who is unsure what to do at each stage to encourage their baby’s development. We answer your questions, provide information, and offer hands-on activities to do with your child to help them achieve these important milestones. Our developmental specialists will guide you on what activities to do with your baby for their current stage of development, let you know when to transition to the next stage, and what to expect along the way.
Baby Basics is a parent support group run by our experienced developmental therapists who will guide parents of babies and young children through early development milestones. We provide tools for parents to help set up each child with a strong foundation for life skills. Our trained therapists will answer your questions from a therapeutic mindset and the interactive program provides opportunities for social interactions and support from other moms (including some of our therapists!)
Our team is here to help you implement all of the stuff you see on social media but aren’t quite sure if you are “doing it right” – and much more. Techniques learned through Baby Basics will help keep most babies on track and prevent the need for future therapy. For some families, Baby Basics may help identify developmental challenges earlier, leading to earlier intervention and better long-term outcomes.
Baby Basics is a weekly, no commitment, come-as-you-are opportunity to learn, laugh, vent, and grow along with your baby, as well as a space to meet new parents in the same stage of life as you, to be able to empathize with others…and see things to look forward to in the next few months. It is a support group for the parent and the baby alike.
At Baby Basics, you’ll learn ways to facilitate developmental milestones through play with guidance from a physical therapist, occupational therapist, and/or a speech therapist. Get hands-on experience with ways to target gross motor, fine motor, sensory, language, and feeding milestones.
